Accaparé par sa carrière, le procureur adjoint Dave Douglas s’est peu à peu éloigné de sa femme et de ses enfants. Une mystérieuse affaire impliquant un laboratoire d’expérimentation animale va l’obliger à s’en rapprocher, mais certainement pas comme il pouvait s’y attendre…
Infecté par un sérum top secret provoquant des mutations génétiques, Dave se retrouve transformé en chien. Grâce à ses nouvelles oreilles et à sa place d’honneur sur le tapis du salon, il découvre les secrets et les rêves de ceux qu’il croyait connaître. Mais là n’est pas son plus grand problème ! S’il veut avoir une chance de redevenir humain, il lui faudra d’abord déjouer le complot d’une bande de criminels qui veulent se servir du sérum. Dave risque d’y laisser des poils mais nom d’un chien, que ne ferait-il pas pour retrouver son foyer !
Secrets de tournage
Le remake d’un classique
Raymond est le remake de Quelle vie de chien, long-métrage Disney réalisé en 1959 par Charles Barton, avec Tommy Kirk, Fred MacMurray et Annette Funicello en tête d’affiche. Basé sur le roman du Hongrois Félix Salten, ce film fut le premier Disney avec des personnages en chair et en os. A noter qu’un autre remake a été réalisé en 1976 par Robert Stevenson, intitulé Un candidat au poil.
Un acteur qui a du chien
Tim Allen, acteur principal et producteur de Raymond, a été enthousiasmé par le projet, notamment parcequ’il est un grand fan du film d’origine, Quelle vie de chien. “Je me souviens encore du jour où j’ai vu Quelle vie de chien. Ce film a marqué mon enfance”, raconte-t-il. “Il avait quelque chose de magique, et je l’ai toujours considéré comme l’un des plus drôles et des plus divertissants de l’époque. Mais j’ai réalisé que le souvenir que j’en gardais était bien plus fort que la réalité. Il avait frappé beaucoup de monde, mais la technologie et le rythme ont vraiment évolué depuis la fin des années cinquante ? c’est d’ailleurs assez comique à voir ! J’ai eu envie d’actualiser un vrai grand classique, de le faire revivre avec tout ce qu’on peut lui apporter aujourd’hui.”
Du coeur et de l’âme
Pour Tim Allen, Raymond fonctionne car il mêle comédie et émotion. Il explique : “Je trouvais très important de mettre du coeur et de l’âme dans cette histoire. En devenant un chien, en allant là où seuls vont les chiens et en entendant ce qu’ils peuvent entendre, Dave apprend à devenir un meilleur humain… C’est hilarant, forcément, mais aussi émotionnellement prenant. C’est une belle histoire de famille !”
A quatre pattes
Pour Raymond, l’acteur Tim Allen a du faire tout son possible pour être le plus proche d’un chien. Il revient sur cette expérience peu commune : “J’ai toujours eu des chiens, et j’ai toujours observé leur comportement en me demandant ce qu’ils pensaient. J’ai personnellement tout essayé pour ce rôle : renifler les gens, leur lécher la figure, courir à quatre pattes, sauter sur les tables, pourchasser les chats… Je dois dire que c’était assez intéressant ! Mon objectif en imitant les chiens était de faire rire les gens, ce qui impliquait de pousser les choses à fond.”

L’acteur américain Tim Allen est spécialisé dans les comédies familiales, et tout particulièrement les comédies familiales diffusées pendant les fêtes de fin d’année. Ainsi, celui qui fut le papa de la série Papa bricole s’est notamment illustré dans Super Noël (1995), Super Papa (2001) ou encore Un Noël de folie ! (2004).
Un chien talentueux
Six chiens ont été utilisés pour incarner Raymond, mais la majeure partie des scènes ont été tournées avec Coal, un Bearded Collie de six ans. Le réalisateur Brian Robbins confie : “Je pensais qu’il me faudrait énormément de patience pour tourner un film dont l’une des stars était un chien. Mais Coal nous a tous pris par surprise. Nous avions un chien animatronique fantastique construit par le studio de Stan Winston, mais Coal était si bon qu’il a fait 95 % de ses scènes.”
De “Sex and the City” Ã “Raymond”
Kristin Davis, l’actrice principale de Raymond, est l’une des égéries de la marque Gemey. Elle est célèbre pour son personnage de Charlotte York dans la série Sex and the City.

It has been several months since The X-Men stopped William Stryker, but that victory came at a price, they have lost Jean Gray when she tried to save them from the collapsed reservoir. Scott Summers (Cyclops) is still grieving about her loss. One day, he came out to the place which is where Jean Gray sacrificed herself. Then, Jean Gray appeared right in front of him. Then, it became clear that Jean Gray evolved into the Pheonix, her new mutant powers are so strong that she can not control her own body. Then, she kills off Professor X with her new powers. Now, The X-Men must stop Magneto again and put an end to the war against the humans, as well as stop Jean Gray’s Pheonix powers.
The X-Men, mutant heroes sworn to defend a world that hates and fears them, are back! This time, with the help of new recruits The Beast and Angel, they must face evolution itself in the form of their former teammate, Jean Grey. Possessed with the cosmic power of the Dark Phoenix, the resurrected Jean Grey has become a danger to herself, her mutant comrades, and the entire planet. To stave off this imminent threat to humanity, a potential cure is discovered and processed to treat — and ultimately eliminate — genetic mutations, once and for all.
